Welcome to Rouge Elegance Studios. These terms and conditions outline the expectations, responsibilities, and agreements that guide our work together. They’re designed to protect both you and our studio, while ensuring a positive, professional experience for everyone.

By booking a session with us, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully, and don’t hesitate to ask questions if anything is unclear.

Our Services

Rouge Elegance Studios specializes in luxury boudoir, fine art, maternity, and intimate portrait photography. Our services include:

• Private consultations to plan your session
• Professional photography sessions in our studio or approved locations
• Expert retouching and image editing
• In-person or virtual reveal and ordering appointments
• High-quality prints, albums, and digital products

Every session is customized to your vision, comfort level, and goals. Our work is artistic, tasteful, and never explicit.

Booking & Consultation

The Consultation

Every client journey begins with a private consultation — by phone, video, or in person. This conversation helps us understand your vision, answer your questions, and ensure we’re the right fit for each other. Consultations are complimentary and come with no obligation.

Securing Your Date

To book your session, a non-refundable retainer is required. This retainer reserves your date and time exclusively and is applied toward your session fee. Your date is not confirmed until the retainer is received.

Session Agreement

Before your session, you’ll receive a session agreement to sign. This document confirms the details of your booking and your acknowledgment of these terms.

Session Expectations & Conduct

Our studio is a safe, professional environment. We maintain high standards of conduct to ensure every client feels respected and comfortable.

Professionalism

All sessions are conducted with the utmost professionalism. We maintain appropriate boundaries while creating a relaxed, supportive atmosphere.

Sobriety

Clients must be sober for their session. While we understand nerves are natural, we cannot photograph anyone who is intoxicated. Sessions will be stopped and rescheduled (with applicable fees) if this policy is violated.

Illness

If you’re feeling unwell, please contact us to reschedule. We want you at your best, and we also protect the health of our studio environment.

Consent & Comfort

Your comfort and consent are paramount. Here’s what that means in practice:

• You’re always in control. You decide what you wear (or don’t), what poses feel right, and what images we create.
• You can stop at any time. If something doesn’t feel right, just say so. No explanation needed.
• We check in throughout. Communication is ongoing during your session. We want you to feel empowered, not pushed.
• No pressure. We never pressure clients into poses, wardrobe choices, or purchases they’re not comfortable with.

This is your experience. We’re here to guide and support, not to direct or demand.

Image Usage & Copyright

Copyright Ownership

As the photographer, Rouge Elegance Studios retains copyright ownership of all images created during your session. This is standard practice in professional photography and allows us to maintain quality control over how images are edited and presented.

Your Rights

When you purchase digital images, you receive a personal use license. This allows you to:

• Print images for personal display
• Share images on personal social media (with credit appreciated but not required)
• Use images for personal, non-commercial purposes

Commercial use, resale, or alteration of images requires written permission.

Studio Use

We may ask permission to use select images for our portfolio, website, or marketing materials. This is always optional and requires a signed model release. You may decline or limit usage, and you may revoke permission at any time.

We never share client images without explicit written consent.

Model Releases

A model release is a separate, optional document that grants us permission to use your images publicly. Key points:

• Model releases are never required
• Signing a release is not a condition of booking
• You choose which images (if any) we may use
• We can discuss anonymous usage options (no face, no name)
• You may withdraw permission at any time

Some clients love to share their transformation; others prefer complete privacy. Both are equally valid and respected.

Rescheduling & Cancellations

Rescheduling

Life happens. If you need to reschedule, please provide at least 7 days’ notice. Rescheduling within 7 days may be accommodated based on availability but may incur a rescheduling fee. We allow one complimentary reschedule per booking, schedule permitting.

Cancellations

Cancellations are subject to the following:

• More than 14 days before session: Retainer may be applied to a future booking within 6 months.
• 14 days or less before session: Retainer is forfeited.
• No-shows: Full session fee may be charged.

We understand emergencies happen. Please communicate with us — we’ll always work to find a compassionate solution when possible.

Studio Cancellations

In the rare event we must cancel your session (illness, emergency, etc.), you’ll be offered priority rescheduling and a full refund of any fees paid.

Payment Terms

• A non-refundable retainer is required to secure your session date
• Remaining session fees are due on or before the session date
• Product and print orders are due at your reveal appointment
• Payment plans may be available for larger purchases
• Accepted payment methods include credit/debit cards and other approved methods

All prices are quoted in US dollars. Prices are subject to change but will be honored for confirmed bookings.

Limitation of Liability

While we take every precaution to ensure a safe, professional experience, Rouge Elegance Studios’ liability is limited to the fees paid for services. We are not responsible for:

• Personal items lost or damaged in the studio
• Dissatisfaction with personal appearance in images (we encourage open communication about retouching preferences)
• Issues arising from third-party services (shipping, printing labs, etc.)
• Circumstances beyond our reasonable control

We maintain appropriate business insurance and take all reasonable steps to prevent issues, but some circumstances are beyond anyone’s control.

Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, United States. Any disputes arising from these terms or our services shall be resolved in the courts of South Carolina.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version in effect at the time of your booking will apply to your session. Significant changes will be communicated to confirmed clients.

Your Agreement

By booking a session with Rouge Elegance Studios, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms and conditions.
